Lens won't shut and screen says "focus error" Have tried new batteries. Camera is 3 years old, we have several at work, hope this isn't a trend...

my lumix IA suddenly stopped focusing and then said 'please turn off then back on' however when i did, the lense wouldnt go back in.
Its really annoying me.

Same problem. Can view pictures on card but lens won't retract and screen reads focus error. Camera is about 3 years old.

Took one last picture; flash didn't go off; screen went black and lens

For a while the len-se wood not go in or out, it is now stuck out, batteries are good. Need Help to fix this problem.
