Question about Quasar SP-2725 27" TV

If you haven't tossed your set out yet, the problem you have (or had) was a failing vertical deflection circuit. It is (or was) not a terribly expensive repair and if you have replaced it with a plasma or LCD flat panel set, I hope you didn't dump your Quasar since most of the flat panel sets don't last past year 2. Any of these sets have serious problems and I would spring for an extended warranty any any of them; they are TERRIBLE. If you have parked your Quasar in the garage, look for a surviving TV repair and have it fixed. Some of the parts used in that set will be increasingly hard to find so don't put it off too long. Also, if you do repair it, get a converter box for it too; it will not receive digital TV signals without it and they are coming in Feb. '09

Just spend a few minutes at this site and do some searching on plasmas (worst) and LCD (still plenty bad).
