Inspect the internal part of the printer looking for fragments of paper.
Turn printer upside down to release eventual foreign objects stuck inside the printer.
Try playing with traction wheels.
Sometimes this tricks can fix the problem.

The chances are that if there is no paper evident and the machine thinks there is, then there is something stuck near the paper sensor flag.

Take a thick piece of A5 card - like the back off a shorthand notepad. Start to push it through the paper path from the exit side i.e. from the front of the printer to the back. When you get to the rollers that are just behind the carriage, lift the rollers with your finger to help get the card through.

Make sure the card remains about 10cm away from the far right side as you look at the front of the printer as this is where the sensor flag is. If you push the card into the sensor flag, you may break it off.

Once you get the card through the sprung loaded rollers, tip the printer onto it's back - so are in effect pushing the card downwards. Work the card in and out. If you have a vacuum cleaner with a narrow nozzle, you can place this into the other side where the paper would normally go as the suction may help to remove the obstruction.

It's a bit fiddly and awkward but I found this to be a reliable method of removing bits and bobs from paper feed paths.

If nothing comes out and the error message remains then it is likely that the sensor flag is broken or just stuck. you can remove the covers of the machine to get to the sheet feeder, and this is fairly easy to remove. Once removed you can see whether the flag is broken or stuck, or just has something in it.

If you want a service manual for the RX620 to help you get into the machine, the LOOK HERE.

NEVER pull paper out backward through the auto sheet feeder where you stack the paper. It will break the drive mechanism and render the printer too expensive to fix. Always either remove the printer from the front or dis-assemble the casings and remove the ASF to free the paper.

remove the back of the printer. When you find a free edge on the paper, grip it firmly and pull it out. Replace the back cover. Press the "Resume" button or turn off the printer, and then turn it back on. Your settings should reset. Try printing another document.

Sir,

You can fix this problem by looking down into the paper feed area and you'll see a gray rubber wheel which is used to pull the paper through. U put your hand into a sock and soaked the end of the sock in rubbing alcohol so my middle finger rotate the rubber wheel and wipe off the fine, almost powdery paper residue. The wheel just needs to be cleaned so the rubber grips and pulls on sheet at time instead of 3 or 4 and then jamming. You can use matte finish paper often so the wheel gets dusted and needs cleaning every 100 sheets or less.

Thanks
Good Luck

    • Open
the cover to the printer and look inside to see if there are any pieces
of paper or debris that may be blocking the print path.

    • Be sure to
unplug the printer before touching anything internal to avoid electric
      shock.

    • If there is something blocking the print path, remove it, close
the printer, and try printing again.

    • You can also check inside the
printer to see if any components have come loose.

    • Look at the paper feeder assembly to see if the paper is slipping.

    • If
so, the problem might be the type of paper you are using.

    • The paper
feeder requires some friction between the sheets of paper so the top
sheet can be pulled into the printing chamber.

    • Because printers use
many different kinds of printing paper, you should check the printer
manual to determine the specific paper type for your printer.

Try taking the paper out and fan it like a deck of cards. The paper may have gotten stuck together. This happens sometimes. Usually it is caused from humidity. Keep me posted and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

One thing to add. As far as clearing the error message after you unjam it there should be a reset job button or a button that says clear. If you have one of these buttons press them. If not a quick resolution would be to disconnect power to the printer after it is unjammed for about 1 minute and then plug power back in. This will clear the memory of the paper jam. Also if you found my solution helpful please rate it when you get a chance.

The next step it to test each sensor, both mechanically and electrically. Get really good light on the sensors, sometimes little hairs cause a false read. Verify that each sensor opens and closes electrically when actuated.

I had some paper jam in the machine, so I pulled it out. now it won't scan. It makes a lot of noise, Seems there is small amout of paper still stuck in there, How do I open it on the bottom to clear it...

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

Epson cx11nf paper jam

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud
