hi duality6988 if you have the text messages you need to go to the txt and then open the message if should give you the derails of the songs. you need to hold on the ringtone so it comes up.. You should see the menu where it days save . Let me know how you are doing. ONCE AGAIN
1 you go to the messages.2 you go to the ringtone message open it and read it. 3 you touch the ringtone itself. 4 holfd the tingtone until a menu pops up in that menu you should see a save ringtone option.hit that option and the phone will save it to your phone. Hope this help
To change the ring tone, press Home > Menu, then tap Settings. Tap Sound & display > Phone ringtone. Tap the ring tone you want to use, then tap OK. The ring tone briefly plays when selected.
Also, take a look at these Droid Eris tones: http://www.exectones.com/
you cannot change your text ringtone to a song, you can only choose from the 4 ringtones provided with the phone, its stupid and im switching to verizon. they have better phones.
when you get a "sound" you want to save as a ringtone and you think you may want to use it again to send to another phone, always save it as a sound so that you can text it... Otherwise you can try looking on Phonezoo.com for the ringtone you want on your other phone, you'll have to sign up and select which phone you have. It is absolutely free. does not charge for ringtones and there is no subscription.
You need to send the sound that you recorded and saved in your phone to yourself in a PIX (picture) message. No Subjects, Text or Pictures are necessary to have in this message, as only the sound itself is required. Once the message arrives on your phone, choose "Options", then "Save As Ringtone". Once you have saved it in that manner, go to "Get PIX and FLIX", then "My Ringtones". It will be stored as a fully usable ringtone there.
You CAN set a song as your text alert tone. Here are the steps: 1- Go to: Settings> Profiles> 2- Select your options (e.g. normal, vibrate and ring, etc....) 3- select Options> Customize (2)> 4- Highlight "Message Sound" and select Options> Customize (2), 5- Then browse to the folder your song or sound is in (e.g. audio) and select the file you want to use and save it.
I noticed that the songs have to be under 30 seconds to use as any type of alert tone for calls or texts.
