Question about Samsung DVD-VR357
After recording a DVD from a VHS tape and finalizing it I play it back. The problem is when I F.F. it locks up as if I paused it and nothing will operate. The DVD will not eject, it will not play, itwill not FF. I can turn the unit on & off but thats all. After turning the unit back on it still will not operate. I unpluged it from the power and left it off for one day after which it did eject. It only does this in when I FF it. The unit is only 3 months old.
Does it do this only from the remote? Or does it do it when using the buttons on the front of the machine also? Even though the unit is only 3 months old-I'd go to the manufacture's website and check support Q&A, and see if there is a Firmwear update.
the problem could also be in the brand of blank disks you are using. Some machines can record on all brands- others cannot. Sometimes the speed rating of the blank DVD can hose things up. Go to www.videohelp.com and put in your machines model numbers- they might have a list of compatable blank disks for your model-if that is the case. Let me know what you come up with. ONE OTHER QUESTION- does the DVD copy you made work in anyother DVD player- that would tell us a lot.
