Vista Ultimate hi i have vist ultimate and i have counter strike source well everytime i try to start it it says hl2.exe error and it shuts down i dont know why but it will not work can u help me??

Go to start> Control Panel> Adminstrative Tools> Services> When you scroll down to this (Office Source Engine), right click on it and make it AUTOMATIC> then click the apply button then click the Start button. Then restart your pc, then manually download the updates.

Here is a solution I found when I was having problems and it worked like a gem..its a problem with two programs running a .dll file:

1. Open a command prompt by being Administrator (Right click on Command Prompt and click Run as Administrator)
2. CD to C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar ( cd drive letter:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar )
3. Run these commands in this order:
1. regsvr32 -u sbdrop.dll
2. regsvr32 -u wlsrvc.dll
3. regsvr32 atl.dll
4. regsvr32 sbdrop.dll
5. regsvr32 wlsrvc.dll
Then start up the sidebar.
