NO clips at the sides NOR srews at the front. I did remove the two srews at each side but I don't want to break anything in order to remove the front panel which doesn't come off the way I'd expected. Thanks for trying ;-(

Look for some clips at the sides,or screws at the front. the top portion is also clipped to the metal housing.

Need to remove front panel located under the filter cover

Press around the panel edges while pulling back. There are probably plastic clip locks that need to be depressed to unlock. Flex carefully, taking care not to break the plastic cover.

Frigidaire MOdel FFRE1833Q@ left panel does not show indicator light

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand the left panel of your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FFRE1833Q, does not show the indicator light. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Restore power and see if the indicator light comes on. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Water dripping from the front of carrier 42p100c air con how do i completely remove the plastic covers so that i can clean out and inspect the system to see if there is ice forming and also i want to blow...

It is necessary that the A/C is mounted with a tilt to the rear so that the water that drips while the compressors works from the cooling pipes will flow off to the drain at the rear.
Look on the sides or lift the front filter covers to get access to the screws holding the front panel to the main frame. now remove and PULL out the unit with the power detached.
You need help to hold on the main unit when pulled out , clean and reset using jet water/air. Lubricate if needed on the fan motor, clean the fins by blowing or brushing.

How to remove front cover for cleaning

I don't know too much about your particular make / model but most window units have a 1 piece front cover which is usually held on to the main cabinet with 1 or 2 screws at the sides and 1 or 2 behind the filter panel. You will need to remove the front panel to remove the vents as they are usually fitted from behind the panel.

How do I remove the front panel to clean the coils in the front? I have the panel free at the top, bottom and sides but seems to be hanging up/caught in the middle, between and below the vents? Fedder...

front panel has one phillips screw in it. remove the air filter and you will see it. Once you remove the screw, grasp the lower front sides of the cover, where the plastic meets the metal, and gently pry it outwards and towards you. there are plastic clips that hold the cover in place. One on each lower side and three on top.

Can you recommend purchasing a model FAM18HS2A Frigidaire

NO! I have one that is only 2 years old, and the control panel has quit working. I have turned in on and off and following all of the recommendations. I will need to order a new control board to get it working again.

Carrier furnace burner will not on with front panel close.

Sounds like a combustion air issue and by removing the front panel it lights and runs. Is there a PVC pipe connected to the cabinet that may have a blockage in it? There may be 2 pipes, one for exhaust and one for combustion air. Would not hurt to check both.
