Yes!! replace your cable and STOP using the one you have. chances are if it is shutting off the camera it has a short in it and my kill the camera. i had a bad cable kill a cell phone once. it was doing the same thing. the new phone it did the same thing when i plugged in the cable. i replaced the cable and it worked fine.

you could have damaged the cable by bending it too much or pulling on the cord instead of the head of the cable to unplug it. a cable that is plugged and unplugged often will go bad quicker. Better cables will last longer. i like Nokia cables. they seam to have the longest life. If one of the USB cables that fits a Nokia phone is the same as the one that fits your camera then get one from them. if not belkin has some good cables too.

My computer no longer recognizes my nikon coolpix L5.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

hi kbailey. Turn on the camera and go to the menu. find the reset function. Reset the camera. This means you are returning it to all of the settings it was at when it was brand new out of the box. Joe

My camera usb is lost! HELP!

Most Fuji dealers can get you one (if not in stock). A better solution is a card reader that you plug into a USB port with your camera's memory card in it. Cheaper, faster and easier to get than a new cable. Ask at any photo or electronics shop for a Secure Digital, single-card reader.

Sony dsc-s600

1= Use rechargeable battery cells and must be fully charged.
2= Check battery terminals in camera battery compartment. Must be cleaned and shiny.
3= Sony camera DCS-S600 won't charge batteries through USB cable plugged in PC. You need external battery charger to charge battery cells.

How to I download pictures onto my computer?

Do you have the base the Easy Share sits on and is onnected to your PC or are you just using a cable? If using docking base and the software is installed correctly you just set camera in base and press the button. Although even sometimes mine doesnt work right so I treat it as though it is just plugged into my PC via a cable. Dont plug in camera to usb cable yet. Open Windows explorer and when you see your various drives like c: , d:, for hard drive and CD/DVD than plug the usb cable to your camera. The camera might need to be turned on and plug the power supply you charge the camera with in as well. Once you plug in the usb cable and you see removeable disk ?: pop up that will be it. You than right click that new drive choose explore and keep dbl. clicking the folders until you see DCIM. There you should see the picture files. In your command bar at top of windows explorer choose view and make sure Thumbnails is checked and you should see previews of your images. You can than use the option on left panel to copy to destination or just choose select all or ( ctrl-A ) that will highlight all files than drag and drop onto a designated folder on your c: drive, or right click copy or cut and than paste. dont remember but if still having problem make sure camera power switch is on. I have same camera so if still cant get it message me back or call. 559-930-9688
