IF THE HARD DISK IS TILL WORKING. I SUGGEST U USE WINDOW 98 BOOTABLE TO SCAN AND CHECK DISK AND ALSO FIX IT. JUST RUN CHKDSK/F IN THE DOS ENVIRONMENT AFTER BOOTING FROM CDROM SUPPORT

Gateway NV5105u Laptop. I have the Windows 7 disk. There is no recovery partition or drivers, I receive error & I've tried Diskpart to create a partition and I get a message no disk partition found.

My advice in this isn't expert.

I seem to remember when I loaded Windows 7 I was given the option to create a recovery partition. I didn't take that option and suspect whoever loaded your operating system also didn't.

I think your best option is to format the drive and reload everything. Formatting is best done by removing the drive and formatting with a separate computer.

Media center m370n keeps rebooting in loop wont start says KERNEL32.DLL was not found

Sounds like you have a boot error on the hard drive. Time to get out your rescue discs and reload Windows. When reloaded run CHKDSK/F to clear any errors. If you can run CHKDSK/F before having to format your hard drive, that may save you a lot of time.

How to format the c disk in window xp

You can't format the C: drive while IN Windows. Get your Windows XP CD and put it into the CD/DVD drive. Reboot the pc and go into the BIOS setup. Look for the options of Boot Order and move the CD drive to th top of the list and have the Hard drive second. Save and exit BIOS setup. Now when it boots it will give you the option to "hit any key to start loading". Do so and it will go to a blue screen and load up some files. Accept the agreement and a couple screen options later, you are then given the options to format and delete partitions and reload the pc. Have fun!

Cheers!

I have an acer one notebook and it wont boot up beyond enter Unlock password (key:84444458) ? what does this mean and how can I reboot system if I cant open it? It just stop booting up one day mysteriously

You may have a virus.
This may require you to format the drive and reload your Window OS.
You may be able to remove the hard drive and place it in an external USB drive case and scan it with a free downloaded version of "Avast". Then replace it in the laptop and see if you can reboot. You also may have a corrupted boot sector.
This also requires a format process and Windows reload.
Check your battery also it may not be charged fully. Your power supply could have died on the primary side of the transformer.

I cant format my usb

Try this, It might work:

i)Try to put Pen Drive or USB in usb port and insert an Windows XP CD and try restarting start and i think u the know procedure of formating Window XP or reload OS(let me say that i'm not formating or reloading OS on ur system, there is small procedure over there after that u can use system normally....)

ii) when u reach a blue screen that show all the partitions of ur system (like C: D: E:  ....), observe it will also show ur usb partition(mention memory....) separately,,, try to use this  option :

Delete Partition by pressing D(usb partition being highlighted...) and then follow instruction .....and now  u will see that there is no partition letter(such as D, E , F) assinged to ur usb

Now Create an partition on that by pressing C ... this will create an partition and it will retain or give  name or lettering to it(such as D, E, F)

after this donot continue format the system, just exit from by pressing ESC button .... and ur system will start normally, ...observer usb now u will be able format.... from now..

Thanking you,

Abit Guru Ai7 Hard Drive Problem

Simply....... no. Once formatted it's reinstall time.
You can load you're windows cd into the cdrom drive & try to get windows to load. If you do get the cdrom to load - (Press any key to load from cd...... ) & press any key. Once in windows setup ( DO NOT format the drive) but do reinstall windows, if windows see's another windows on your drive, great install over it. If windows does re-install it's self you should have enough time to install burner software & back up your personal data to CD or DVD before your partition looses it's cookies & shuts you down.
You can also leave it alone & install another drive & setup windows complete & slave it back into you're system for IDE.
SATA's are all master drives. Than copy your data back to you're new drive. In these cases I always suggest the user go to the web site of the hard drive & download the Mfg's bootable software tool's/setup utilities. Windows is not perfact at formatting.

Luck!
Mike

Problems with Reloading Firmware. Please Help.

to upgrade firmware you have to do it from the pc.

try downloading the
MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?
