Question about Danby DPAC8020 Air Conditioner
Set up and ducted but will only run between 20 seconds and 2 minutes. Then the unit shuts down. If I press the start button again a wait of 1 to 5 minutes takes place and then it starts and runs for 20 seconds to 2 minutes. If I don't press the start it will keep on shutting off by itself and restarting after a pause of several minutes all night long. I know it isn't a Danby but, I thought you migyht know.
It sounds to me like it is overheating. Make sure that all of the literature that came with the unit is accounted for. Many times the manual or instructions are blocking the exhaust causing it to overheat. If this is not the problem then I would suggest exchanging it for a new one. It may be a manufacturer defect.
