Food gets stuck between the bottom of the bown and the curcular housing that holds the disc stem. I flipped the bowl upsidedown and there does not seem to be a way to remove the plastic disc with 3 "feet". Probably not being very descriptive - but it's pretty unpleasant to lookinto the "clean" bowl and see floaters trapped. Thanks for your help.

I eventually did get the blade out but had to use one set of pliers to hold it and another set of pliers to turn the blade. seems to be too much frustrating work to get a small job done.

I Cuisanart mini prep and removed the bowl, lid,

Make sure the tab on the lid is making contact with the "tower" in the back and that the work bowl is locked properly into place so that the plastic tabs show on each side toward the bottom of the work bowl.

I have the unit plugged in and the ingredients in the bowl, but it will not pulse...what am i doing wrong?

I am assuming that the unit is not getting any power whatsoever and this is not isolated solely to the pulse function not working.

The Kitchenaid food processors have a few safety features implimented. If the unit is not assembled properly, this may prevent the unit from turning on. Proper assembly is below:

If it isn't all ready, please disassemble the entire unit. This means removing the blade and/or disc, blade, removing work bowl, work bowl lid, and blade.

Start by placing the work bowl onto the motor base. The work bowl handle should be facing at 9 o'clock, which is out to your left. Rotate the handle downward until it locks in at the 6 o'clock position, which will lock over the center of the button panel.

Repeat the process with the work bowl lid. The blade does not need to be present for the motor to engage, if this is an assembly issue.

We can`t disasemble it with the dough blade in, any tips?

All of the blades "lock" (rest in a groove) when rotated clockwise. This is so they'll stay put when in operation. When you take the bowl out with a blade in, you're moving the pair in a clockwise direction. So, you lock the blade in, thus locking the bowl down. Either remove the blade first by rotating it counter clockwise, then up or move the blade back 1/10th of a turn after rotating the bowl as far as it will go clockwise.
