Question about Philips GOGEAR SA6045 MP3 Player
The 4gb Philips mp3 will not show up on my ps3...as in.....u don't see the icon that something is plugged in...it ignores its existence....how can i get to where my gogear can show up on my ps3?
There is only one setting that you can change on SOME 4GB GoGear's, but not others - I'm going to need the exact model # of your GoGear, b/c Philips makes a lot of 4GB's, and they all work a little differently. Go into the settings menu, and see if it allows you to switch between MSC and MTP Mode - the newer GoGear's default to MTP mode, and will not allow you to switch at all.
If changing to MSC mode does not cause the PS3 to recognize it, then it just can't be recognized. Since Sony made the PS3, they kind of rigged it to where it will only read Sony Walkman Mp3 players (although it MIGHT have Apple iPod compatibility as well - but even that is iffy).
