I am using skype and i tried to turn on my webcam but it says my webcam cant connect.im tryin to find out how to turn it on but i cant..can you please help me.

This model Compaq laptop does not have a built-in WEB cam.

To use video call with Skype you need to purchase an USB WEBcam, connect the WEBcam into the Compaq laptop's USB port and install the WEBcam driver that came with the WEBcam.
Then configure Skype - select the WEBcam and mic.

hi my name is rui, i suggest you get the latest version of windows media player install it then instal skype or youcam update your java & flash media to.

Check the settings in skype to see that it recognizes your camera and try to update the driver for the webcam.

when creating a shortcut form the program menu list all you should need to do it right click the item in the menu bar and then select the "send to" option and select the "Desktop (create shortcut)"

Have you configured skype to use this webcam? If not then do so. Options->Video settings-> specify this webcam to be used as the camera while using skype. And similarly other IMs.

I believe you are trying to use this cam on skype.Skype has a setup for your cam/mic.follow the prompts.and set-up. if still not working uninstall cam drivers and redownload new from the net @ logitech.com.RICHARDM69

update your skype to the latest version, direct x (Windows update) and video card drivers from your manufacturer (go to manufactureres site; they'll lead you through it)

start with your webcam off, Go to Tools, options, video settings. Click on Enable Skype video and Start my video when Skype turns on. Then select "default video device".

Look at the task tray where the clock is. Look for a icon that looks like a webcam. Is there one?
If there isnt one you will need to install the Drivers and software that came with your webcam.
If you cant find it, reply with the brand and model number

may be ur cam will support ur skype software.............just download some software for using ur aol im..........or else just see the notifications and switch on the webcam mode in ur aol im.........
