Connect SONY VAIO VGN-CR23G to tv

I have SONY VAIO VGN-CR23G laptop and want to connect to my SONY projection tv.bothe my laptop and the tv has S-Video ports but i dont know which cable to use as in market S VIDEO to S VIDEO is not there.i tried cable with S VIDEO IN and two male points of RED and YELLOW on tv and pressed Fn + F7 but still nothing on the tv.did the same procedure with my another SAMSUNG PLANO DNIEJr tv but no go.although i hear a beep sound on my laptop that it has detected a new hardware and the display settings also change but i dont see the desktop on both the tvs.Please help me and also please tell me which channel i have to use for both the tvs.

I connected my sony vaio laptop to samsung plasma but all I am getting on the t.v. screen is the sony vaio trademark logo and not the desktop screen from my laptop, any solutions welcome...

It's only a partial solution but channel 3 or 4.... or your tv may have settings for dvd or other. look at the remote. try hooking it up again and changing from regular cable to dvd or the other setting (can't think of it at the moment)

You can find the software in all program's or must check ...... with the drive's ......it will be there with the drive's in My Computer.

Hi,
Your Sony vaio does not have any TV-out port to output the display on any analog TV. You can use your VGA (by using VGA cable) port to output your laptop on LCD / Plasma / LED TV (with a VGA port also)). If you still want to project to analog TV via the VGA port, you need to find a VGA to RGB adaptor. But bare in mind, it's hard to find one.
VGA port is like the port on computer monitor. RBG consist of three colored port.

I installed windows 7 home basic 32 bit .. sony vaio vgn cr23g was pre loaded with windows vista .. my webcam is not working!!! plz help

Hi my Sony Vaio VGN-CR23_B not been installed this with the webcam and not find the driver ....

if your camera module is this : VGP-VCC6 Camera Module

then this driver will work for you :

Hi,
The monitor switch on a Sony is usually done by holding down the Fn key and tapping one of the F keys that has the icon of a monitor on it, sometimes you have to tap that key a couple of time for the switch to activate.

Upgradation of Vaio VGN-CR23G

Hello mrsaurabhsha,
These are the types of harddrives you wnat to look at. You should also be able to upgarde from a 5400 rpm drive to a 7200 rpm drive and notice a pretty large increase in response time.
