Hp 3800dtn standard top bin full remove paper error
We just picked up this printer and right off the bat this is the error we are getting. No matter if there is paper or not in the tray.I looked to see if anything in and around the tray area was broken or stuck. Also looked around the paper exit area , but maybe I don't know exactly what to look at. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I replased a leaver on the right side of the printer ( don't now iet's description). the i got an error 59.co ande had toe alin the gears. Got that out of the way. But now is gives me this standard top bin full remove paper error.

I suggest you remove any sheets of paper from top tray then lift up and release a black plastic flap found under a plastic overhang on paper exit tray. This lever (If its not broken/missing), should be free and should drop down(under its own weight) freely. If not then it will involve using the manual to remove the top cover and find where lever is jamming (usually jumped out of a guide bearing.)
where paper comes out on top, on right hand side is a plastic lever that is normally resting down. If it gets stuck in the up position, or the bin is full it will give you the error Part number is RC1-7460-000CN, bin full flag
After print paper reaches upper bin, you can observe a flag moving while paper coming out. once this flag is stopped moving printer treates bin full..check the flag is moving freely. open top cover clean this sensor.
Just check at upside where paper iscoming out after print, there you can see the two black flips to monitor the paper out position, this flag sensor got dusty this error apprears, remove back cover, you can observe left side this sensor, just clean it..
Check the sensor flag where the paper exits the printer and make sure it is not stuck in the "up" position. This is a small black plactic flap right in the center of where the paper exits. When this flap is up it tells the printer that this area is full. HP says to "flip" the sensor flag up and down to make sure it is not stuck.
Maybe your paper sensor flag is stuck or broken if you pull the tray out of the machine there should be a little black plastic sensor flag hanging from the top middle of the slot where you pulled the tray out from if its stuck up or broken the tray will always sense its full of paper.
Hi there is seems that the machine thinks there is too much paper at the paper printout exit. If there are printouts on the top of the printer remove them and the printer will start printing or the error message will go away. If there is nothing on top of the printer then where the paper comes out after it has printed you will see a black plastic lever type it is more likely to be in the up position without breaking it if it hasn't already been broken move it so it is in the down position it is on a hinge so be careful and it should sit at an angle. Once this has been done the printer will reset the message itself.
Hope this is help you oh if the arm is broken it will need replacing (just the arm)
