Hello tolits_0364 The software for your version of Lenova Thinkpad drivers and utilities are available free of charge from the Lenova website. First check the model of your r40e. The link to the drivers which which model to download from is at the bottom of the email.
Locating Your IBM Lenovo Model Number The location of the label containing the model number of your machine can be found in various different places, as shown below. You are looking for either the "Type", the P/N (product number), or the Model on the label, do not use the S/N (serial number) information.

What is the product key for vista

hey.....
you can not ask for product key for vista because this is what is called piracy and is punishable.microsoft gives a trial licene for 1 month so you can have it.

It is always advisable to use genuine windows.
thanks.

How do i obtain product key number for my new laptop

If u have genuine Operating System preloaded in your laptop, then turn back your laptop you can find the serial number pasted on it. If you don't have the genuine OS preloaded then you can find the serial number on the back side of the CD Cover label.

I need a recovery disk for my laptop windows

Unfortunately the only way to get a recovery for any preloaded system is to contact the manufactuer of the product. IE if the unit is a Compaq you can contact Hewlett-Packard, must be the current company that owns the model and build. Compaq is now part of HP is the only reason for the example.

They will ask your model and serial. new discs may cost you to obtain but serial will give them the preloaded software information.

Outside of recovery discs, secondary option. Purchase a new operating system. expensive but does work as well.
Hope this helps.

Windows XP drivers for Sony VAIO Laptop

There is no easy answer for this type of question, unfortunately. The best I can do is offer some advice. While installing XP is always possible, and most of the time preferred by the user, not all of the hardware will work every time with every computer. That's just a disclaimer. I think this thread may be useful to you: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=128804

May your printer doesn't fit to your operating system because Windows Vista is one of the complicated OS and hard to find installer or software to fit it in. Try to Replace your operating system that same as your brother have. maybe it can fix your problem!
