Question about HP Pavilion dv2000t Notebook
If you are talking about BIOS Password which is being asked when you try to access any feature of the BIOS, I am sorry, it is not possible to retrive.
However, if it is the Startup Password which is prompted to enter immideatly you start the Notebook, you can try removing and replacing the CMOS/RTC/BIOS Battery.
1) Turn off the Notebook and remove the Battery and Power Adapter.
2) Follow the instructions to remove the BIOS Battery provided in page number 125 of 310 in the manual :
Start the Notebook with the CMOS battery removed with the power adapter and turn it off once you see the HP logo.
Remove the Power adapter and insert back the CMOS Battery and fix the door that covers it.
You should be able to go ahead with no issues.
If you are talking about Login Password after booting into the Operating System, it may not be possible untill you are not using the Administrator account.
Press hold the Ctrl and Alt keys and press the Del key twice.
This will get a window in which you need to enter the Administrator as the User name and Enter the password if you have set any....leave the Password column blank if you have not assigned any administrator password.
Once you are loged in, reset the password of the account which you are unable to login to.
