Question about Computers & Internet

2 Answers

I recently just installed Windows XP Pro SP2 on my Everex Impact GA3400 PC. I got all the drivers downloaded and working, except the audio driver. I have been trying everything I can think of for the past 3 hours, and nothing. I have went to the Everex site and downloaded it from there, and other sites, and it'll install it, everything fine and dandy, then it needs to restart so the new changes can take effect, I restart, it boots up, still no sound. The "find new hardware" wizard pops up once restarted too. I search Microsoft Update, nothing, and of course if I am downloading them from the Everex site I don't have a CD or anything that the wizard asks for. So, I really am having a huge problem with this. ANy help, as quick as possible, would be great b/c this computer has gave me nothing but problems lately and I am ready to throw it in the ditch.

I have tried both. If it doesn't work, I completely uninstall it, and try it another way. Nothing is working :(

Are you just installing them through their program or are you installing it through device manager?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Reloaded windows xp and now i am unable to connect

Hi, First option is to locate the Drivers and Utility Disks that came with your computer and use it to re-install all drivers; especially the one that allows you to connect to the network / internet service. Second option is to go to a computer (maybe a cafe) that is connected to the Internet, go to the support page of your computer manufacturers website, download the essential drivers you need, save them to a USB / Flash disk and then go install on your own computer.

I installed a network card in my Everex GA 3400 so I can get on the internet to reg. ( What does it mean Failed Digital Signature or Windows XP Logo Test). Is it my card or my PC?

Most drivers do not have a microsoft digital signature it should install OK unless you have prevented your PC from installing unsigned drivers.

Your XP's system policy for driver signing can be reached from the Driver Signing button of Control Panel->System Properties->Hardware Tab

I always leave this is ignore as most drivers don't require this to work correctly
