i opened CSV file with Excel and devided text to coloumns.
all dates are wrong. some dates showing date and month in riverse,
if date is less than 13 (up to 12) it is going into month place. if greater than it showing in dd/mm/yyyy. even i gone through formats / Date/ selected particular format. some dates still showing previous. some cells only accepting the change.
I am using MS-2007, i got the solution upto some level only.
i can't say exactly whether it is right or not.
my solution is :
first change the settings in ControlPanel/Regional and Language Options. Click on Customize button/open the Date Tab and set the date format there. and then proceed with CSV. Open CSV in Excel and divide Text to coloumns. Ur all Date Cells will be in particual Format. and Select that coloumns and right click Format Celss....etc. Thanking u.

I assume that the dates you want adjust are in date form and are in regular columns (or rows).
If so, then you can use a formula like this =DATE(YEAR(A3)+1,MONTH(A3),DAY(A3))
where the original date is in cell A3.
You can then copy this formula to calculate all the new dates you need, and then copy the results back over the original dates as VALUES.
Describe your problem:
Depress MONTH/DATE and ALARM1 for 3 seconds and display will show DST 'start' month, week, and date. Display will show 4F 4.1, alternately flashing
4F = April First week. 4.1 = April 1.That is the old dates for change. What we want to do is to change to the new dates. Once it is done, it will change in the new dates as it did on the old dates..
Hold down the MONTH/DATE button for 5 seconds, and while pressing the - or down button3 times, until the display shows '3'F2. 3 is month F2 is the week. =March 2nd week. You have successfully change the March changeover.
Now for the November change. Depress and hold MONTH/DATE and ALARM2 after 3 second the display will show DST 'end' month, week, and date. First digit will be 10 =month. second digit will be L=Last week, and date, will flash alternately. While holding down the MONTH/DATE press the + or UP button once the display will show 11 (November) and F (first week) and 1 as date alternately flashing. You have successfully set it forthe next 100 years
Are you trying to figure the difference in days between these dates and one single date (Dec. 31, 2008 for example)?
Whatever you're trying to do, here is the formula, assuming you're starting in A1: Put the first date in the format Day-Month-Year in numbers (Sept. 3 is 03-09-2008) Then put your other date in B1, in Day-Mo-Yr format (31-12-2008 for Dec. 31, 2008) In C1 put B1-A1 and that will give you the number of days between those two dates.
Hi freaks11, I am DennisGladx and I hope to assist you.
This sounds like the Column of the data you want should be changed when you import the text file. Right click on the column letter, Left click on format cells from the drop down list and select the cell Con-tense you want to display.
Glad to be of assistance please rate the solution - I can learn from your rating - Thanks
Try inserting seperate entry for furture day number and then reference that entry address for program math. You will have to either use same number of days to repeat (automatic) this math or accept that it would be a single shot type math. Depending on which version of excel you are using the alert can be a sound or color change. If 97 or older, there is no alert available. 2000 isn't much better.
Easier to set furture date in orginial date block right from the start. Unless you are running the excel program continuously in the background, program will only check date when running.
Block off the cells (or row or column) in question, right-click and choose FORMAT CELLS. In the NUMBER tab, choose TEXT. This will make your dates appear exactly as they are typed, and not allow Excel to reformat them.
