Question about Apple iPod nano

Ipod nano when i tried to restore my ipod to itunes it says it cant restore coz an error occured. i need help about this. i tried to sync it with itunes but when i sync my ipod to my pc it says that the playlist no longer exist. but the playlist is just in itunes

    songs on the ipod cannot be synced because all of the playlist selected for syncing no longer exist.. this is what appears when i insert my ipod to my pc...grrr i cant install songs to my ipod

Error code 1140


Yes, I have had this problem. First, I would disable the automatic sync with the iPod and ITunes. You can do this by going into preferences in iTunes. Download the latest version of iTunes by checking for an update. Then click on your iPod in iTunes and restore the iPod to its original setting. This will erase the whole iPod. Then you can sync it with iTunes again. That should fix the problem.

Ipod will not restore


according to the apple website here is some help with the solution.
this is taken straight from apple.

Symptoms When restoring or updating an iPod in iTunes 7 or later, you may see a dialog reporting "An unknown error has occurred" followed by the error number 1415, 1417, 1418, 1428, 1429, 1430, 1436 or 1439.
Products Affected iPod, iPod mini, iPod shuffle, iPod nano, iTunes 7 for Windows, iTunes 7 for Mac, iTunes 8 for Mac, iTunes 8 for Windows
Resolution If you are experiencing these errors, begin by updating to the latest version of iTunes. When you have the current version of iTunes, try the following:
  • Disconnect and reconnect your iPod and then attempt to restore.
  • Restart your computer and then attempt to restore your iPod.
  • Disable or Enable Disk Use on your iPod and then attempt to restore.
  • Try connecting your iPod to a different USB port and then attempt to restore.
  • Remove any third-party USB devices you have connected to your computer (it is not necessary to remove your keyboard or mouse).
  • If you use Windows, re-register .dll files as described in article iTunes displays -50 error message when syncing iPod on Windows XP
  • For Windows users, update or reinstall your Windows USB drivers.

Have one nano 4gb red the problem is that i have erased all songs and when connected to pc says error1439

Ipod classic sync error message


first reset your Ipod from advanced settings.. Upload the library on Itunes from ur external HDD and try sync again.. it should work!

My nano won't restore.


Take it into your nearest Apple Store or Best Buy. It's covered under warranty so it won't cost you. The hard drive needs to be tested on it.
