TV just shut off and it smelled hot , now the TV will not turn on

I understand that your Frigidaire dryer, model# FFSE5115PW, is shutting halfway through the cycle, and smells hot. Please make sure that the lint filter, lint trap, ducting leading outside, and the outside ducting are free of lint. What can happen, is there is not enough air flow if these are clogged with lint, so your dryer will become hot and smell hot. This could possibly cause it to turn off as a safety feature. replace pump windings are shorting out

Sounds like the automatic fan control is not working it cuts in on temp rise . It may be dirty on the back of it as you said you had a smell of dust burn

If it's a burning or hot smell, may be dust in the back. Simply vacuum the vents on the rear regularly.

A clogged air vent will cause the unit to overheat and not turn on.

RCA hdtv has a crackle then smell like something burning and then shuts off. What could the problem be

mine is doing the same thing but i was able to pinpoint it to a capacitor arching and smoking. haven't replaced it yet so i'm not sure if it's just a bad capacitor or a more involved issue.

sounds like the relay on the compressors is getting hot and cutting the unit out, if the fridge is quite old it may well be the run windings gone short circuit in the compressor pot. The relay switches from start to run windings so may be firing the start circuit, switching over to a shorted run winding, and then getting hot and activating the thermal cutout and hence the burnig smell, plus the start and rapid shut down of the compressor.
