It say carriage jam

Hi friend,

What probably happened is that paper jam caused the carraige alignment sensor to get out of place or to get covered, moved, etc and the printer doesn't know what to do...

What I would suggest trying is, unplug the printer, try pulling the carraige out to the center and then close it and plug it back in, see if this kicks it enough to reset itself.

Thanks,

I get a carraige jam. It asks me to remove paper,

Sounds like it needs serious servicing. You can look at having it fixed but it may just as well be worth it to replace the machine.

A jam message that wont go away

Hello jmcmeeking

Open your printer like you are going to replace the ink, re- install ink cartridges close it up.

If that does not work, then open the printer ink department push the ink carriage all the way to the right it might be it can’t find the home position sensor. Turn it off and then on.

Good Luck

Carraige jam

If you can move the cartridge carrier, move it all the way to the left, turn the printer off and then on again.

Your printer may not be parking the cartridge completely so check the area that the cartridge rests over when parked for a sponge or wiper that is out of place.

I've pulled broken light bulbs, paper clips among the many things that can cause the cartridge from parking in the rest stop.
