The starter is working normal. It try to start up 3 times and after the 3rd it isnt running then it stops. What it sounds like is that you are having a problem with the passlock system in the truck. The passlock is a resistance built into the key tumbler that gets sent to the bcm in order for the truck to stay running it needs to read this signal. If the tech didnt hook this up right then the truck will never stay running.

Remote starter only allows my starter to turn over twice; needs at least 3 with my key. How to adjust to have it starter run longer on remote?

I know you are looking to have the remote starter run a third time but I would say you need to look at your Fuel Pressure Regulator on the Scion. Sounds like it is not holding fuel pressure at the fuel rail and that is why it requires a third Crank

It sounds like a problem in the remote start module that was installed. I assume it has not always done this. See what type of warrenty you have on it. Probably none but sometimes suprises happen.

What type of transponder bypass was used? You will need to check with your installer. You will want to know if the data bypass module is coming ON upon remote starting. And NOT coming on during regular starting.

My viper remote starter cranks engine but car doesnt start. Seems like strater does not crank long enough. Then it re-tries but never starts the car (Grand AM)

Did you connect the tach wire of the unit to your car? if not you need to refer to your documentation to turn on or off the tachless operation for the unit to work correctly.

Car starts all by itself....

Sounds like you have it in a timed start mode. Are you remote starting your car with the lock and unlock buttons? I have also seen viper remote starts crank the car when the battery level is low, if it is in voltage mode instead of tach mode. Once the voltage gets so low it will crank the car and allow it to charge the battery.

Viper works but remote start and keyless entry does not

On the remote start part, it might be as simple as relearning the tach. To do this, crank the car with the key, press and hold the valet switch until the led lights and stays solid now release.Try the remote start. Need to know what kind of car to comment on doorlocks.
