Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

1 Answer

Can't Boot the Nintendo DS screen.

This problem is fairly recent, I turn on the Nintendo DS, even if its fully charged, the screen flashes for just a second, and then it always will go off. What can be the problem?

Battery is fully charged but it still wont power up no lights when plugged in to charge

Hook up only the ac adapter to the DS to see if it turns on. If it does then we know the ac adapter works. We know the battery got fully charged but the system isn't turning on with the battery that is fully charged up.

I would say your battery is defective but you won't really know until you fully charge up a known good working battery and test it out.

How to help me with my nintendo ds lite

If your DS is fully charged and a green light flashes on when you try to use it and maybe a screen flashes on, than you should try a new battery. Batteries lose their charging capacity after each charge.

NINTENDO DS LITE POWERS ON AND THEN IMMEDIATELY OFF

The system powers on, then performs a system check. The DS is finding some sort of error More than likely the top screen was damaged. I've been told that the screen that flickers is usually the good screen. The bad one doesn't flicker because it's damaged. You can replace the top screen yorself (if you're fairly handy), or you can pay a professional to do it. You can get new screens from Dealextreme.com for around 10US dollars, with free shipping. You can also find videos about how to change out the top screen on youtube. Hope this helps

Nintendo DS

Hmmm...

Is the battery fully charged? if it is and the problem has just recently occured...has the unit been taken apart? when assembled there is a chance the battery is not making proper contact.

If the unit has not been taken apart....not been knocked or bumped or dropped....either the ribbon cable within the hinge has become damaged through use...OR the motherboard is damaged.

try holding the battery compartment cover and apply a little pressure....does this help? NOT TOO MUCH PRESSURE.

switch on.....move top screen slightly...any change?
