First question is how old the printer is, The second is how many times have you cleaned the cartridges? In the process of cleaning there is a well that recieves the old and dried ink. This well needs to be serviced by a tech and cleaned.Make sure when you clean the ribbons you do not go across the colors, you want to go in line with the colors and use denatured alcohol don't use rubbing alcohol as this contains 60% water.
