It doesn't recognize the cartridge - HP Deskjet F340 All-In-One Printer

Turn off the Printer and Unplug it from the Power Supply.
Remove the Cartridges from the Printer!!!!!
On the Backside of the Cartridge you would see a Copper Stripe, Wipe the Copper Stripe using a Paper Towel!
Reinsert the Cartridges and Restart the Printer.

Are you using "compatible" cartridges? That is usually the problem. Try using Kodak cartridges. If that doesn't work, it's the printhead. You could try cleaning it.

This might ba an issue with the cartridge holder in which its not recognizing inks or inks are defective. Call Epson for cartridge replacement is reinstalling of inks doesn't work.

Remove the Cartridges from the Printer....

first of all, you need to snap the cartridge in and out a few times.

If this doesn't work, you need to remove the printer cartridge from the printer and then clean off the foil contacts.

You need to be careful while doing this and do not wipe the nozzles from where the ink comes out.

Insert the cartridge and switch on the printer. Now your problem might be fixed.

maybe the roner cartridge you inserted is not supported by Toshiba e-Studio 170f. This may be one of the reasons that the machine can't recognize the toner cartridge.
Reinstall the toner cartridge that you have. If that doesn't fix the issue try to replace the toner cartridge with new one.

You have nothing to worry about if it still prints. The printer probably recognizes the cartridge as the one you just ran out of, so its confused. It should work regardless, just ignore the messages. If it doesn't work at all then you might want to take it back to where you got it refilled and take it up with them.
