WHEN I TURN THE CAMERA ON A BOX WITH WRITE PROTECT COMES UP

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My screen says "card locked"

Hi,

Remove the memory card and you will find a switch on the left side of the card. It must be locked, so slide or push the lock on other side to open it and then insert the card back to the Camera.

When I try to take a picture. The camera says I have card lock.

Hello rdfrazier,

Open the card bay of your camera, extract the memory card. On the card, at the right side edge, you will notice a small slider type tab/button. Slide it to the opposite extreme. Your card ought to be unlocked now.

I have a casio Exilim camera.when I turn on the screen reads 'The card is locked' There is no instructions in the manual to cover this event. Can you advise anything? Many thanks.

Take the card out of the camera, and along the side of it, there is a small slide switch. Move it to the unlocked position, and try again. This is a common thing, card come from the manufacturer with the lock applied, and they assume everyone knows about them.

Card Locked

There is probably a little slide on the side of the card that locks it. Take the card out and slide it back to the unlocked position.

MEMORY CARD LOCKED

Unlock it. SD cards have a little slider on the left side (face up) that locks and unlocks it.

Digital camera says sim card locked

If this is an SD card you may need to take out the card and slide the small switch on the card itself to the "Unlock Position"

Good Luck!

Take the memory card out and you will see a little notch on the side. You should be able to push that up or down to lock or unlock it
