You have to use the remote. You press alarm and then you select the time from there.

Help, please! My Philips DCM250 cd player/radio/ipod dock turns itself on now and then. This is creepy.

It's a perfect natural function of the device The manual says this:

DCM250 can be used as an alarm clock. The DISC, TUNER, USB or iPod is activated to play at a preset time.

If
If you don't If you don't have the manual you can find it online by putting this into Google : "philips dcm250 uk user manual"
Look for the file marked PDF. On mine it's the second entry down!

How do i set the alarm

Select on the top AL1 or AL2 depending on which alarm you want to set until that is selected on the screen in the upper right corner. Then press the AL Set button twice. Turn the +/- knob until you have selected the right hour. Make sure you set AM or PM when scrolling through (PM has an indicator, AM does not). Press the AL set button again. Then scroll through with the +/- knob to choose the minutes. Then press the AL Set again to make that your alarm.

Humming noise and now the projector does not work

To get the humming noise to stop when listening to your iPod while it's docked, you have to use the projector feature AND keep the backlight on on your iPod. My projector stopped working and I'm trying to figure out how to get it going again (replace the bulb?) so I can stop the humming noise again. The unit is not being made anymore, probably because of this problem.
