System error 21:10 is generated when the printer has detected a fault in the Service Station. Causes of this error can include the Service Station or Carriage. Follow the steps listed below to accurately troubleshoot the issue, and replace the appropriate parts.

    NOTE:If Removal and Installation instructions are needed for reference during any repairs performed, refer to the HP Designjet 500 and 800 Series Service Manual available on the Computer Care Web site for review or download. Troubleshooting steps If any of the troubleshooting steps listed below solve the problem, attempt to verify printer functionality (instructions listed below). If functionality is verified, no additional parts should be replaced.
      NOTE: The printer's current firmware revision must be A.02.04 or higher for a new Service Station to work properly. If firmware is lower than A.02.04, download the newest available firmware before continuing with the remainder of this document.
      1. Turn the printer off, then on to verify error. If no error attempt to verify functionality.
      2. If the error appears or problems persist, continue with the remaining steps.
      3. Follow the steps directly below to unlock the Carriage from the Service Station:
        1. Highlight the Set-Up menu and press the ENTER button.
        2. Press the UP arrow and ENTER buttons simultaneously and press the ENTER button.
        3. Highlight Service Utilities and press the ENTER button.
        4. Highlight Unlock Carriage and press the ENTER button.
        5. Unplug the power cord from the printer.
      4. Manually move the Carriage assembly out from the Service Station area and check for obstructions (remove as needed).
        NOTE: If you are unable to release the Carriage by the previous process, remove the right end-cover and locate the main Service station gear (as pictured below in Figure 1) and rotate it counter clockwise approximately four revolutions. The Carriage assembly should now be free from the Service station. Figure 1: Service Station Gear

        1. If an obstruction is found and removed, plug the power cord in, turn the printer On and attempt to verify functionality.
        2. If no obstruction was found or the problem persists, continue with the remaining steps.
        3. Disconnect the power cord from the printer.
        4. Remove the right end-cover from the printer.
        5. Open the top cover and manually move the Carriage to the left so that it is not over the Service Station (refer to Step 3 for instructions).
        6. The Service Station flag should be at about a 45-degree angle as pictured below in Figure 2.

        1. If the flag is correctly positioned continue with Step 16.
        2. If the flag is not at a 45-degree angle, press in gently on the bottom of the gray and rotate the bottom of the flag to the right (toward the back of the printer) until the top of the flag clips into the tab on the Service Station. The flag should stay at about a 45-degree angle.
        3. Plug in the power cord and turn the printer on.
        4. If no error appears, attempt to verify functionality.
        5. If the error reappears continue with the remaining steps.
        6. Turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord.
        7. Replace the Service Station assembly (refer to pg. 8-52 of the HP Designjet 500 and 800 Series Service Manual).
          NOTE: The printer firmware must be upgraded to A.02.04 or higher for the new Service Station to work. The new Service Station does not have an Aerosol fan and older firmware will check for the Aerosol fan, thus causing another system error.
          1. Following replacement, turn the printer on and verify functionality as instructed below.
          Verifying printer functionality
          1. Turn the printer on.
          2. Allow initialization to complete.
          3. Load media into the printer.
          4. From the main front-panel menu, select the Ink menu and press ENTER.
          5. Select Troubleshooting and press ENTER.
          6. Follow the instructions on the Front panel.
          7. Following a successful troubleshooting print, functionality is verifie

How bout when you are copying a document, is it not printing the whole documents as well? Pls try to print a nozzle check

Print the nozzle check pattern to determine whether the ink ejects properly from the Print Head.

1. Make sure that the machine is turned on, open the Front Feeder, and extend the Output Paper Support.

2. Load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder or the Front Feeder.

Set the Paper Thickness Lever to the left.

3. Press the Paper Feed Switch to select the paper source where you have loaded paper.

4. Print the nozzle check pattern.

(1) Press the Menu button.
(2) Use theleftright.gif button to select Maintenance/settings, then press the <OK> button.
The Maintenance/settings screen is displayed.
(3) Use theleftright.gif button to select Maintenance, then press the <OK> button.
The Maintenance screen is displayed.
(4) Use the updown.gifbutton to select Nozzle check and then press the <OK> button.

(5) Use theupdown.gif button to select Yes and then press the <OK> button.
The nozzle check pattern is printed, and the pattern confirmation screens are displayed alternately.

If that didn't printer correctly run some deep cleaning.

Perform this steps when you have a good printout from copying.

If not then chances are you need to replace the print head...

You can call 1-800-samsung to find the nearest authorized service center. I have seen numerous problems with the document feeder on this model.

Paper Jam in Bowels Of Canon ImageClass D760. Also need to replace Rollers where paper exits Copier. I have the parts-how do I get to it


It needs a new fixing unit. If you are careful and have a long skinney screw driver you could do this. Open the right side door. Remove the small screw in front this secures the control panel.

Shift panel to the left and remove the ribbon cable. Put right top door down. Shift top feeder back to the right. remove all the screws on the left side and remove the plastic. There is a top piece held by one screw in the middle. One on the left and two hold the bottom plate on. Remove this plastic. Now the dangerous part. Remove the two screw on top of the the machine that hold the two white guide pins. Now you are going to rock the top feeder up and to the back. Before you do this you need to know there is a plastic finger that comes up out of the copier and is part of the main drive gear pack. IF YOU BREAK THIS you can just throw your machine away in the trash. SLOWly look under the top *** you rock it back. You want to shift the feeder unit left or right to get clearnace of the white 90 degree angle finger that is in a grove of the feeder. Clear it and rock the feeder back resting on the rear of the copier. DO THIS CLOSE TO A WALL. SO WHEN YOU ROCK BACK THE SIDE CAN SIT ON THE BACK OF THE COPIER. There are hole in the top that allow a screwdriver to remove the three screw for the fixing unit. and you will unplug two wires. GOOD LUCK !!

It could have something to do with the automatic document feeder. There could be something in there that is blocking the paper from feeding in there correctly. It could be the feed tires or the belt as well in the document feeder.

It should be looked at by a technician in your area in case there are some parts that need to be replaced.

FAX will not print.


I have the same problem. Found this solution on the Brother site:

If the faxes you receive and the copies you make print half blank pages
please follow the steps listed below:

1. Unplug the power cord

2. Lift the top cover up.

3. Next, lift the two purple release levers located on each side of the
metal plate. The print head will pop up.

4. Remove the ribbon cartridge from the unit.

5. Lift the plastic paper cover (located behind the black rubber
roller).

6. Carefully remove any paper that is jammed by pulling in an upward
direction.

7. Push the paper cover down (located behind the black rubber roller).

8. Place the ribbon cartridge back in the unit with the ribbed triangle
on the plastic casing furthest away from you. Make sure the cartridge
gears rest in the white gear holders.

9. Gently push down the print head until it clicks into place.

10. Close the top cover securely.

11. Plug the power cord back in.

Test by making a copy.

1. Place a document (with text on both sides) in the ADF (automatic
document feeder).

2. Adjust the paper guides on the sides of the ADF to fit the width of
the document.

3. Press the COPY key.

Brother Intellifax 4100 squeaky sheet feeder


The doc feed asm needs to be rebuilt. Only white lithium grease is used to lube the gears and avery light oil on the shafts. All parts are available from brother. I can get the parts if you have trouble obtaining them. It is relatively easy to rebuild and I charge in my area of Clearwater Florida, about 100.00 parts and labor.
