I also have a High Pointe Microwave Model EM925BSC SN 0608MO3508 manufactured in Aug 06. Tried to use it for the first time this weekend after buying a new Honda EU2000I to use it. The turntable does not turn automatically or when I try to turn it manually. Cooks OK. Nothing in the owner's manual that came with trailer (Zoom 178) mention how to fix the problem.

Anyone have a Ph# for High Pointe. Their Service center address is High Pointe, 2617 N Great Southwest Parkway, #100 , Grand Prarie, TX 75050.

Ihave a Jenn-Air JMV8196 microwave oven. The clock works, the fan works and the light works. Not sure why the microwave will not come on to cook. Help?

The problem is caused by one of three things, the magnetron "heats food" the high voltage diode "sometimes shorts" or the high voltage capacitor " shorts"

Bought house with GE Profile Convection Oven. Do not know proper cooking directions, nor how to work many of the features. Also no light bulb in it & would like to know which one to buy. Need manual t

GE has the manuals for most of their appliances on their site: http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/ . Just enter the model number and click Submit.
The direct link to the manual for the JVM1790 Over-the-Range Convection/Microwave oven is here: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40480-1.pdf . GE only lists the JVM1790CK, JVM1790BK, JVM1790WK and JVM1790SK.

I hope this helps.

I think I understand what you mean.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers and Driver downloads as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

The magnetron may have either failed or is not being supplied with the extremely high voltage required to run it.
Make sure the !!!!capacitor is discharged!!!!! before attempting any sort of repair.
Check the door interlock switches first then the high voltage diode with either an AVO model 8 on high resistance range for short circuit, the feed fuse on the primary of the high voltage transformer and then finally, the magnetron is best checked by substitution.

I hope this helps.

My unit has completely and suddenly died. Nothing works: heat, turntable, clock, light, all dead. There is power in the outlet, which tells me that there may be a breaker or fuse inside the unit that has...

There is usually a 125V, 20 AMP line fuse inside the microwave, mounted at the point where the power cord enters the back of the unit. Unfortunately, you will need to uninstall the oven (if this is an over the range model), UNPLUG it and remove the exterior case to access. The case comes off in various ways depending on manufacture and model.

Replacement parts can be ordered at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites are reputable and offer competitive pricing, so shop and compare. The first three sites on the list also inlcude exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying any parts you may need.

If the model number you listed this question under is correct, the line fuse is connected on the wiring harness inside the unit and is listed as part of item 14 under the "Interior" parts listing (part number 815174). There is also a Thermal Cut-Out (TCO) in the High Voltage network mounted on the magnetron that, if blown, will cause the same symptoms. It is listed as item 15 under the "Magnetron and Air Flow" parts listing. The part number is 815076.

CAUTION: DO NOT under any circumstances attempt to operate or troublehsoot the microwave oven with the exterior case removed. Voltage potentials in the High Voltage network can exceed 3,000 volts. Always UNPLUG the unit when attempting any repairs.

If the line fuse is blown, you can usually purchase a box of fuses at a hardware store for less than what the manufacturer charges for a single fuse. 125V, 20AMP Ceramic Slow Blow fuses are recommended.

If you have any questions, or need additional assistance troubleshooting, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

NOTE: Make sure you take any resistance readings with the microwave UNPLUGGED and the component under test isolated (removed) from the circuit. These ovens can blow a fuse by simply sitting idle. This can occur from any power fluctuations, brown outs, voltage spikes, etc. Or, it could be the symptom of a component that may have failed. If you find the internal fuse blown and replace it, only to have it blow again, you have a more significant problem than a simple blown fuse.

Not turning on has no power

Its usually mounted on a small input line filter board at the point where the power cord enters the back of the unit. Turntable continues to run

This seems to be a pretty mysterious situation, and you're not alone in being concerned about an inability to find good contact information.

I would strongly suggest that you contact your RV dealer.

If the parts or service department cannot or will not give you good contact information on High Pointe, i would suggest insisting on speaking to the dealership's manager.

Please let us know what you find out so others can benefit.

Kenmore over the range Microwave

Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:

- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose connection on the control unit circuit board
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part

If you or a friend decide to look into it, we have critical safety information, info on door switch diagnosis and replacement, and disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
