Question about RCA OPAL M4001 MP3 Player

RCA Opal M4002A (2 GB) Won't Let Me Remove or Add Music

It'll plug into the computer and register as being there, but I can't open my music folders to add or delete any music. It's not an issue with space, I have over 500 MB of space left. I simply can't get to where my music is stored to delete any of it and it won't let me add anything (neither through Windows Media Player or by dragging and dropping into the folder - which won't open) either. Help?

I sorta get the same problem, it was working fine up until today when I went to upload some music onto it, in the sync section of Media Player it wouldn't let me open up the Music part so I could delete anything of it, and when I went into the Music folder in the Opal>Media>Music section it took forever to open and when it did it was completely empty as if I never put anything on it.But I can easily play the 200+ songs it has on it already so I know their actually on it, so I'm not sure what the problem with it is. It also won't let me sync anythign on it, whenever I try it just is stuck syncing and I eventually have to hit the Stop Sync button. Anybody know whats wrong with it?

Go into settings and switch from mtp to msc mde, or vice versa - it partiitions the storage space between these two modes. More info can be obtained at:

alright, its pretty easy all you have to do (if your using a windows based computer) is go to the start menu in the bottom right hand corner and go to My Computer. If your opal is plugged in with the mini-usb it will show up in the disk drive part of the window that opens. double click it and youll see the folders...drag the videos to the Videos folder

What song service supports rca opal m4002a mp3 player. napster doesn't work?

Not iTunes. Not Napster.
You could try Rhapsody's MP3 ONLY service - new!
Limewire works, but make sure you anti-virus program is up-to-date.

The key is to use Mp3 format only, and most music services have switched to WMA format.

Opal rca mp3 m4002a TROUBLE!

Disable the auto-sync option in Windows Media Player, and then delete the songs again from Windows Media Player. If auto-sync is not disabled, then those songs will never go away.

WWON'T POWER ON

For one, you don't need the CD to put music on the Opal. It's a plug and play device. Go to My Computer on your desktop and you will see under Audio Devices "OPAL". Click on that and you'll see a folder called "Media" and that's where you put your music.

For not turning on, click Pause/Play twice

For charging, You need to plug in the USB cord into the computer to charge it. Wait 3 hours. The Opal doesn't have a real long battery life, i'd say around 10-15 hours. So you'll be needing to charge it quite a bit.
