The power light comes on three times and it makes a noise but the tv does not come on

thtas the error code which means the flyback needs replacement. Its a inexspensive easy repair you can get a new replacement flyback at the following link for less than 50 dollars which includes shipping and free tech support to help you install it. You need Flyback 259296. Here's the link.
