The flashing lights meen there is a configureation problem with your snapgear. Check your settings to make sure thay are current for your new location. Just because you own an IP/DNS from one service does not mean that it will be valid from another service. Some services use a system where you set your router to DHCP and they assign you your static IP/DNS. Also Snapgear routers have configurable ports so they are going to be picky about what is plugged into what port. Hope this helps

Pix 501 Endless reboot - lights flashing continuously

That was the fix !
It seems when using older Cisco devices, a dead / dying CMOS battery is more of a hazard. The battery's meager attempts to provide power repeatedly reboots the motherboard creating frustration and troubleshooting other paths.

CAUTION: Removing the battery isn't a simple affair since it is firmly clipped and a suitable, preferably plastic tool should be used to pry the battery upwards while pressing downwards on the black battery housing. This is similar to removing motherboard batteries but isn't often practiced since most 2502 batteries will outlive the usefulness of their host PC / Cisco PiX firewall.

FAILING to properly anchor the battery housing while removing it with suitable plastic / non conductive tools can permanently damage the sensitive electronics AND result in the entire CMOS battery housing to break off the motherboard.

The PiX will boot without a CMOS battery or even battery housing, but will fail to retain system time if DC power is interrupted.

Error 60 is connection to the CD player interrupted.

There is no supply voltage present for the decoder board or the CD player.

Check that all of the cables to the decoder board are in good condition and connected correctly and securely.

Sonicwall Safe mode Problem

How do I access the SafeMode menu?
In emergency situations, you can access the SafeMode menu by holding in the Reset button on the back
of the TZ 180 (it’s the small pinhole button located to the left of the Console port) for 12-14 seconds until
the ‘Test’ light begins flashing yellow. When the SonicWALL is booted into the SafeMode menu, assign a
workstation a temporary IP address of 192.168.168.200 and attach it to a LAN interface on the TZ 180
Then, using a modern web browser (Microsoft IE6.x, Mozilla 1.4+), access the special SafeMode GUI
using the device’s default IP address of 192.168.168.168. You will be able to boot the device using a
previously saved image, or you can upload a new version of firmware with the ‘Upload New Firmware’
button.

Sonicwall Firewall Pro2040 Boot Issue

If you do not see connection lights, you might be connecting the Sonicwall directly to a computer, instead of to a switch.

Try using a crossover cable, or try plugging the Sonicwall and your computer both into a network switch.

If it has a reset button, you'd want to try holding it down until you see the lights flash to let you know the reset completed. It should be fine after that, unless the power surge toasted it for good.
