Question about Computers & Internet
Dear Tecnical Guru,
I am having continuing issues with Problem streaming live video and streaming content conferrwnce on Speedstream 5100. I have service with ATT Yahoo DSL hiSpeed and haven't have this issue before I switched from one VoIP provider ( Lingo ) to a new one - VoIPVoIP.com. I called Efficient Networks , Grandstream Technologies ( the manufacturer of the VoIP Terminal Adpter HT 503 unit that is plugged in Series behind the Speedstream 5100 ), ATT, and VoIP technical support departments and each is blaiming the other for this problem. When I disconnect the VoIP adapter the problem goes away. The only other change I made, is to reset the Speedstream 5100 to regular router function, after it was configured as a bridge ( disabling all routing capabilities based on the advice of the previous VoIP provider ) since the new VoIP provider claimed that the Gradsttream HT503 adapter that they use works better with their SIP connection configuration. Are youfamiliar with similar issues and can you porovise a fix ???

i worked for verizon for two years and I encounter this problem many times,to tell you honestly,its not with you internet connection since if you'll notice,while you are connected to the internet and you make a call or call someone,its interrupted... Obviously,its the phone itslelf,the signal comng from the phone is different from the signal of the internet...thats the reason why you need a modem to convert the signal coming from the phone line to make it work for internet,,,what I suggest is you change the DSL plan from the Dry Loop to the regular dsl with the phone...
