Question about Weather King 10AJA2501AH Air Conditioner
I have a Honeywell T87F thermastat that is turning the air conditioner on (you can hear it) but not the house fan. I can turn the fan on via a button in the basement but auto does not work. This just started acting up last night.
If you have a voltmeter that checks capacitance, check the capacitor ( silver looking battery) that is mounted on the side of the blower housing in the furnace. You need to take the wires off!! A bad Cap will slow down the fan and if its blown/dead the fan will not run.
If youre more than 1 MFD off the rating stamped on the capacitor, Replace it.

Ok heres a test i want you to do carefully remove the thermostat cover and you will see the 3 wires one is red the other one is yellow and a green one turn off the thermostat and remove the wire from thermostat labeled G and carefully touch it on the R terminal if fan turns on, thermostat is defective if it dosen't turn on there should be a fan section on control board that's defective
