Question about Speakers & Subwoofers
Just moved into a house with several small JBL speakers installed around in various rooms and bundles of speaker wires disappearing into the walls, and also a big JBL subwoofer sitting in a closet. How can I figure out the impedance of the speakers so I don't mess up my receiver; how do I know which wires go to which speakers, and how do I hook up the subwoofer since my receiver has one subwoofer out port and the subwoofer has multiple inputs? I'm not an audiophile so be gentle with me, please. Thanks.
IF YOU HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF CABLES AS SPEAKERS HOOK THESE UP TO YOUR AMP THEN SUB TO SUB OUT PUT ON YOUR AMP WITH A SUB CABLE OR PHONO THAT REACHES FROM AMP TO SUB.SET AMP TO ALL CHANNEL STEREO OR MODE THAT SENDS STEREO TO ALL SPEAKERS,ALSO SET SPEAKER SIZE IN SETUP OF AMP TO SMALL AND SUB OUT PUT TO SUB ONLY.YOU SHOULD GET MUSIC AROUND THE HOUSE.IF SOUND IN SAY BEDROOM IS NOT AS LOUD AS BATHROOM USE THE TEST TONE TO LEVEL OUT EACH SPEAKER.
HOPE THIS HELPS.
