I have the exact same problem... the only thing I can connect the problem to is that I went jogging this morning and it started raining while I had my phone in my pocket. It felt a little moist on the backside but didn't appear to have a problem until it started giving me "JK" for every a and enter and delete I pressed. Someone please post a solution, thank you!

I bought a used laptop with some missing letters on it as well. What I did, was simply use my Brother P-touch labeler and printer out capitalized letters. Then peel off back and stick right on keys. A simple answer.

Keys not working

Either the keyboard or the ribbon cable connecting the keyboard to the mainboard is damaged or not fully connected.

The most likely problem is the keyboard is defective. They are not very hard to replace. In most cases you have to remove the button cover above the keyboard and then the screws for the keyboard will be accessible. You can get a new keyboard off the Internet (EBAY or such) or direct from HP.

Keyoboard when pressed shows numbers not letters

Hello,

this is happening because the keyboard number lock is turned on. To fix this problem, simply press and hold "Fn" button on your keyboard, then press "Num lock" (FN + NUM LOCK).

This will certainly solve the problem.

Good luck.

Letter appeared automaticcally

This sounds like a stuck key. Make sure there is nothing which may cause this specific letter to be stuck on your keyboard. I would actually try to press on it several times pretty hard as it may release the button.
Also, if this doesn't help, try to unplug the keyboard and plug in a different one, to see if this is a problem with this specific keyboard. If the keyboard is plugged to your computer by USB, try to uninstall and then reinstall the driver.

I have a wireless Rosewill keyboard.changed the batteries now letters are repeating & some not working or working slow.Should I unplug the control box to reset?Wireless mouse not working...

You should try just re-syncing the devices. Press the sync button on the USB receiver itself (the part the plugs into the computer) and then press the corresponding sync buttons on the keyboard and mouse. It will usually be a small button underneath the device.

Keyboard connectivity

Normal 0 Assuming that you have good batteries installed, turn the Keyboard over and locate the small reset/connect button on the back of the keyboard and press it. Then try to see if it is working. If not try pressing the button on the receiver and then on the keyboard. Try typing, should work okay.

Also to Rest/Connect the mouse, turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps. Bud
