Question about Canon PowerShot A80 Digital Camera
When taking pictures with my A80, I can't see the image in the LCD. I have to use to view finder like old fashion cameras. Although in the playback mode, the image shows up on the LCD. Any suggestions why this is?
What is most likely the cause of this is the LCD is turned off in the shooting mode. To fix this you need to turn it back on in the record menu. Directions on how to do this are on page 59 of your camera manual. I have included a link to a download of your camera manual in case you need it. I hope this helps!

Restore the factory settings
turn camera on, press the menu button for 5 seconds and the default setting comes up. select ok and it all goes back to normal. I think that the exposure was wrong, therefore not letting enough light so the screen always appeared black.
