I do have exactly the same problem with this HP 3310 all in one printer. This printer was working fine for 2½ years without any problem until now.

I have tried to close the door without power and with power on, no result.

    Please advice……………

I opened the access lid on my hp3310 all-in-one printer and now it seems jammed. Made sure that all ink was installed properly. I don't want to force the lid closed as it seems that something will break.

The access door does not close after inserting the cartridges.

I have the same problem. Changed the ink and also cleared a paper jam and then lid would not close. Had a chat with HP support and they were of no help at all. Thier solution was to buy a new machine!

Hi HP-Friends! I had the same problem and read through the post.
I decided to take the whole thing apart and removed the hinge (w/ some difficulty) I inspected the hing and took it apart. Realizing that the spring got too much pressure. I cut it down about a 1/4 of an inch and so far so good. I then broke one hinge when I put this thing together but it work fine at the end. You just have to be carefull opening the door. The hinge has no mechanical value other than it makes it easier to open the door. I am o.k with that as I only open that from time to time to change the printer. -- I tested it all afterwards and its just fine.

Hi,

I have the same printer.

check the clips , when you put cartridge in as the clips sometimes get stuck.

Make sure you hear that click sound, on all the six colors.

Try it and see , if it works.

HP Photosmart 3310 All-in-One Printer - I opened the ink cartridge door & it now seems locked in open position - won't close.

Your printer does have a lock that clicks in when you open the printer to replace ink catridges. The User Manual has no specific comment on steps required to release the lock.

Is there a release tab/button that you grip when lifting? If so, suggest you try pressing this same release as you lift the cover, lifting slightly higher to see if the lock will disengage allowing you to close.

If no release tab/button simply try lifting slightly higher as above to see if the lock will disengage.

If either of these does not resolve isse I would inspect losely to see if there is a way to disengage the lock; simply using more force may result in damage.

Printer lid wont shut

Make sure you have successfully seated the cartridges you replaced. They may be preventing the lid from closing.

HP 3310 lid wont close after ink install

Hi!

You need to make sure that the cartridge is inserted correctly on the right slot.

Please see the steps and diagram from the user manual for the proper installation of the inks. (Page 148 to 150)

Ricoh ft5733 keeps on restarting

If I were you, I would call the service company back and have them come back and fix it for free... It would be a what is called a "RECALL" unless they informed you of another problem that may show up

Access door will not closwe.

I have the same problem and found it's a broken right back hinge. The plastic that holds the pin in place is broken and the spring underneath is preventing the access door from closing properly. Unfortunately, I had to take it apart to see it. If hp (or any other computer company) stocked these cheap parts, they couldn't make money selling disposable computer products...sad but true. I'll be looking for a cheap 3310 for replacement parts for mine...

HP 3310 printer

I took it to Best Buy where it was purchased and was told it was not worth it to repair unless I had the extended warranty which I did not. So it went to the dead printer recycle bin.
