Hi vavmam

I learnt alot from this book when I first started out.
The Sound Reinforcement Handbook for Worship

by Yamaha. Great book for beginners. How to setup a PA system and make it sound good, the rest is up to you and your ears.

I have a copy of this book, and learntmost of what i ever needed to know.

I am looking for a cable to go from my PC Sound board to go directly into the M-900MK2

As I can see from the manual of your mixer/preamplifier (here is a link for that in case you lost it) there are line inputs with dual RCA jacks (U-03R). You can connect a cable with 3.5mm mini jack stereo male from one side (this for your pc's sound card) and 2 RCA jacks male at the other side (for your mixer/preamplifier). In case you need it, here is a photo of that cable.
In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

Thanks and regards

Need help with an emx300 mixer/ amp, burnt

Well I can tell it's 1, 0, something at 5%. However that 3rd band is the multiplier so It could be anything 1 ohm to 1 megaohm. The only way to find out is with a circuit diagram. Try having another look around the board, sometimes the same type of resistor is used in another place.
If you can't find one and can't get hold of the diagram try a 1k or a 10k or a 100k resistor etc. One might work!

Phonic k-12 powered mixer Nothing happens when I press the power

Most new stuff has the fuse/fuses mounted in clips on the power supply board.
If yours is anything like the one a picked up for one of my bands, you can take the bottom plate off and see everything inside.
Look for where the AC cord goes after the power switch.
There should be a circuit board with a fuse or 2 mounted on it

The two plugs are what is called Daisy chained this means they are both the same. This is so you can simply hook the speaker to the amp, then from the other plug hook another speaker, then from that speaker hook another speaker, ect...

Church System

Hi there Apostledavis

I don't know this specific system and you haven't mentioned whether you have just installed it or whether it has only just started causing problems but did work ok before?
However, there are a few things I would look at. I would also check the system right from the input bit by bit to see whether the problem is an input or output one.

1) Completely isolate the amp from all other equipment and connect a signal source to the left input only and then the right input only. If they sound much the same, the amp is probably ok. If they don't then the amp is probably faulty.

2) Check whether the monitors and amp both have weak output on the left channel.

3) Check and balance settings.

4) Check the speaker phasing.

5) Check all the interconnections, plugs and sockets. You could squirt some switch cleaner on a rag then wipe all the plugs before putting them back in the sockets.

6) Check the Behringer VU meters and make sure they indicate a reasonable balance on both channels.

7) Check that the channels sound ok when using headphones.

8) Check all faders and sliders by moving them vigorously to clear dust from the tracks. (Not applicable if digital, of course)

Hope this helps
