A service manual would be great, In my experience the keyboard may be removed by pushing it towards the lcd display, that was on another acer model, Il see if I can get my hands on a service manual.

To remove the keyboard double check no screws are in the bottom.

Use a screwdriver to see if you can move the keyboard into any direction, try to lift it from the sides or from the top / bottom.

If I was over there, we could get it open right away,

This may be diffrent in your model.

    1. Turn computer off, shut it and remove battery
    2. Remove two screws from underside of computer near the back (not the RAM cover)
    3. Prise off the hinge covers at the back of the computer (easiest done by using a small screwdriver going under the cover from each side of the computer along the hinge axis
    4. Carefully open the computer and tilt the display back 180º
    5. List up the hinge covers /loudspeakers and tilt forward
    6. Remove the loudspeaker connector and then detach the keyboard ribbon cable
    7. Prise out the keyboard starting at the back. [Note that the keyboard is mounted on sticky pads so a little force is needed.]
8 Reassembly is the reverse sequence. The most difficult step is the loudspeaker connector (hence those pliers)."

How to remove the bottom of the gatwway lt2016u

Ok, on a laptop you need to get some cups and label them toput the screws in so you will know where they came from. Remove the PowerCord, Remove the Battery then start removing all thescrews from the bottom of the laptop. Then remove all the devices fromthe bottom of the laptop such as the hard drive, the memory, dvd/cd drive, wireless card, etc. Take note of how the wires are on the wireless card, those are the antennas.

Look inside the battery case, hard drive case, memory case and dvd drive slotfor screw. Some screws on the bottom case in inside of some of the devicecases might have the icon of a keyboard next to it. Those screws hold thekeyboard in place.

Turn the laptop over, remove the strip that is just above the keyboard but becareful because a cable might be attached to it. Then remove the screwsthat hold the keyboard in place that are under where the strip was and gentlylift the keyboard out because there is definitely a cable under it.

Next you can remove the screws from the lcd hinges at the corners and lift thelcd screen off, also note that you will have to pull the antennas cable and thelcd cable when you remove the lcd.

Next start removing any screws that hold the palmrest in place. Take note ofany cables that are attached to the palmrest and remove them then lift thepalmrest off.

Next start removing any screws you see that hold the motherboard to the bottomcase, then lift the motherboard out an start replacing the fan.

A digital camera to take pictures will be most helpful to refresh you memory ofwhere things were.

I have an Amilo Pro V7010 Laptop, but the power-in doesn't work. Nor will the back come off, can someone link me to a video/guide how to dissemble the V7010 please?

Try you manufacturers website and look for manuals.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AcerSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for manuals.
Normally you just turn the laptop over and start removing screws. Remove the devices on the bottom such as the memory, dvd drive, hard drive, wireless card, battery, etc. Look inside the case where these devices came from and you might see more screws to remove. Then turn the laptop over, open the lid, remove the strip that is above the keyboard, but be careful there might be a cable behind it. Remove the keyboard, be careful there is a cable behind it. Remove the lcd screen hinges and lift the lcd screen off and pull the cables and wires that come from the lcd screen out of the laptop. Remove the palmrest then the motherboard will be exposed. Remove the screw that hold the motherboard to the bottom base.have some cups with labels on them so you will know where the screws came from. Also have a digital camera handy to take pictures.

What are the parts of a motherboard(P4)

This sounds like a "homework" question for an Introduction to Computer Hardware class.

First, there is a socket for the Intel Pentium 4 ('P4') CPU chip.

Second, there are sockets for RAM.

Third, there are sockets for power from the power-supply.

Fourth, there are power-leads, to send power to the various fans.

Fifth, there are internal connectors (speaker, on/off button, reset button, front-panel lamps).

Sixth, there are external connectors (keyboard, mouse, serial port, parallel port, USB port, FireWire port)

Seventh, there are external sockets (microphone input, line input, line output) for speakers & microphone.

Eighth, there are sockets for the video-adapter, and for other optional add-in cards (TV card).

Tell your teacher that you got help from the Internet.

I do have a problem with my presario M2000 Compaq laptop which whenever i open the laptop, it keep asking me password. Futhermore, my dvd rome cannot response to cd. can u help me. Tq

  1. Disconnect the power cable and any printers, monitors or other peripherals you may have attached your M2000. Lay the laptop face down on a table, with the front of the laptop facing you. Remove the battery by sliding the release latch to the left. The front end of the battery will pop up. Rotate the battery toward the back of the laptop to disengage it from the laptop base.
  2. Locate the hard drive on the right side of the laptop. Remove the two screws holding the hard drive cover in place and remove the cover. The hard drive will have a mylar tab on it to help remove it. Grab the tab and lift up on the left side of the hard drive until it disconnects from the motherboard. Pull the hard drive straight up to remove it from the hard drive bay.
  3. Remove the single screw holding the optical drive in place. Stick the end of a bent paper clip into the disk tray release hole on the optical drive, located on the front of the disk tray. This will eject the disk tray. Grab the tray and slide the optical drive out of the laptop base.
  4. Remove the memory modules. The memory compartment is located in the center of the M2000. Remove the two screws holding the cover in place and remove the cover. Use your fingers to spread the latches on the sides of the memory modules and slide the modules out of the sockets.
  5. Remove the mini PCI card by first removing the last cover on the bottom of the M2000. Remove the screws on the cover and remove the cover to reveal the mini PCI card. Disconnect the white and black wireless antenna cables from the card. Spread the latches on the sides of the card and slide it out of the socket. Disconnect the antenna cables from the clip attaching them to the laptop base.
  6. Remove the keyboard cover and LED board by first removing the two screws in the battery bay. These hold the keyboard cover in place. Flip your laptop over and open it up. Slide a flat-head screwdriver into the notch behind the "F1" key to unlock the keyboard cover. Do the same thing at the "F5," F11," and "Insert" keys. Pull the cover up to remove it. The LED board is under the cover. Disconnect the data cable from the motherboard and remove the two screws holding the board in place. Remove the board.
  7. Remove the keyboard by first removing the four screws holding the keyboard in place. Lift the back end of the keyboard up and tip it over so it is resting face down on the palm rest of your M2000. Disconnect the data cable from the motherboard and remove the keyboard.
  8. 8 Remove the display panel by first disconnecting the video cable from the motherboard. Disconnect the wireless antenna cables from the clips attaching them to the top cover of your laptop. Remove the six screws holding the display panel in place. Lift the display panel off of the laptop base.
  9. Remove the base enclosure by removing the three screws on the top of the laptop connecting the top to the base enclosure. Flip the laptop over and lay it face down with the front toward you. Remove the 18 screws holding the base enclosure in place. Lift the rear end of the base enclosure up until it comes free from the laptop. Once it's free, slide it back to remove it.
  10. Disconnect and remove any remaining components including the speakers, Bluetooth module and USB card. All of them are removed by the same procedure. Disconnect the cables from the motherboard and remove any screws holding the components in place. Lift the components straight up to remove them.
  11. Disconnect the fan cable running from the cooling unit to the motherboard. Remove the three screws holding the cooling unit in place and lift it straight up to remove it. To remove the CPU, turn the locking screw counter-clockwise until it clicks. Grab the CPU by the edges and lift it straight up. Put the CPU in an antistatic bag for safekeeping.
  12. Remove the motherboard by first disconnecting the touchpad cable and remove the five screws holding the motherboard in place. Lift it up by the left side and remove it from the enclosure.
  13. please comment on these solution by saying how helpful.rating or voting.

How do i change the keyboard on a fujitsu L7310GW laptop?

This laptop is built similarly to most others.
There is an escushen that fits neatly across the top of the keyboard, covering up the fixing screws. Remove it by gentle but firm prying with your fingernails. Don't use a screwdriver or you will mark/damage the plastic. Check to see if the screws are visible when this escushen is removed, if not, remove the base as the top will have to be removed first.
All will be revealed at or before that last point.
Hope this helps.

Unable to turn on the computer and power supply is OK because other devices are plugged into it. Tried procedure in apple manual which says to hold down power button and at same time hold down 4 buttons on...

The iMac G4 will refuse to turn on if the logic board battery is dead. Since this model Macintosh is now about eight years old, it's quite reasonable to suspect your battery is dead. Battery replacement is a relatively simple task for a certified technician, but unfortunately the battery in this model is not a user-replaceable part.

Fujitsu Amilo L7310

I have L7310GW - maybe it is similar.
The BIOS battery is deep inside the case and needs full strip down to reach it. I know because I have just taken one apart. Need to undo all screws on base and remove keyboard and screws under that and hinge cover screws and steel plate under keyboard and remove mother board to find it.
Good luck
