Mac ejecting CDs

My mac keep on ejecting CDs just today, is it the software problem or the lenses need cleaning? It wouldn't eject a CD the other day (it's a software I'm trying to get on my mac, but it just won't install and won't let me stop to eject it either).

Same problem. My Macbook keeps ejecting everything. It's fairly new but I was hesitant to buy a Mac in the first place.

Is it ejecting just this particular disk? If so, it is a format the Mac doesn't recognize or the disk is damaged and the Mac can't register it.

How do eject disc from my mac os x

Every Mac that has an optical drive has an eject key on the keyboard. Pressing the eject key will eject a CD or DVD.

The eject key has this icon on it: ?

You can also right-click on the disk icon, then choose "Eject" from the pop-up menu.

You can also click once on the disk icon, then choose "Eject" from the File menu.

You can also drag the icon to the Trash icon in the dock.

The eject key will only eject CDs and DVDs, but all of the other methods described above will also unmount other media types, like a hard drive or flash drive connected via USB, FireWire, or Thunderbolt.

I have a 2001 Honda Crv, the cd player keeps ejecting CDs before it has the chance to load them. The radio works fine, and I gave tried burnt and original disc CDs. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Are these CDs that you burned yourself? Older CD players won't recognize the audio file format of this kind of recording, only the established file format that typical retail CDs have used for years. In recent years, CD players have been developed to recognize more file types than just the old format; but with an older player like you have in your car, it wouldn't recognize what you were trying to play, as if you put a DVD in. It balks, and spits it out. You can burn CDs with the correct file format, you just need the appropriate software or file translator.

Cd in macbook wont ejec

This can be a problem. First try rebooting the machine, and holding the eject button when you hear the startup tone. Hopefully, that will force-eject it.
If that doesn't work, you'll need to get creative. Get a playing card or something similar, and put some rolled-over tape on one side close to the edge, so there's a sticky side out. Turn the computer off, and try to get the playing card into the CD drive, with the tape making contact with the stuck CD. Reboot, holding the eject button when you hear the eject button again, and pulling the card out. Hopefully, the CD will come out with the card. If it doesn't work, just keep trying, and you'll get it out eventually.
Generally what causes this is keeping CDs in the computer for an extended period of time, especially while the computer is powered off. Make sure you remove all CDs before moving or turning off your computer.

IMac disk drive ejects audio cds

1) Restart the computer and try again. If that fails, 2) Gently blow canned air into your CD drive slot. If that fails, 3) Bring the unit in for a drive replacement.

CDs get stuck in the slot of my mac mini---3 years old.

Ok, let's go through the options in case you have missed one. Command E, Open Finder and click eject button next too it's name, dragging the item to trash, press F12, or hitting eject on the keyboard. If none of those work make sure the drive is not just busy. Sometimes you have to wait a few seconds even after stopping the application. You can use Disk Utility in Applications/Utilities to eject a CD. Open Terminal and type drutil tray eject If that fails, in Terminal type drutil list and then look at the list and find the drive. Tyoe drutil tray eject 1 The 1 should be replace with whatever drive # you found in the list.

Audio CD problelm

The CDs are being ejected as most likely the drive cannot focus correctly.  It is most certain that the drive will need to be swapped out and replaced at an apple service centre.

Mac OS X 10.4 Installation problem

If your computer ejects the Mac OS X 10.4 Installation DVD, it means that there's a good chance that your Mac doesn't have an Apple internal DVD drive or an Apple SuperDrive, you'll need Mac OS X 10.4 Install CDs.

If your mac is unable to read the CD or ejects it also, there's something wrong with your DVD\CD drive.
