Here's the User's Guide (Lexmark X215) and the Setup Sheet (Lexmark X215) that might help you out with scanning and faxing. Hope this helps.

Begin by using a USB cord to connect the printer and the computer. Wireless printers are not wireless when it comes to scanning. Then if it still won't scan, download a new driver appropriate for vista from lexmark.com Joe

The Lexmark technical support page for your x215 printer is here. Looking at the Publications and Download tabs do not show a windows 7 driver. At this page, it discusses win 7 drivers, and who to call.

Piece of cake.
Go to lexmark site downloads.lexmark.com
Along the banner at the top, hover your mouse over drivers and downloads, then click on driver finder
Type in the model x215 and it will find the full name in a box, click on it.
Choose your language and operating system, then download.
All free.

Please check the driver properties and make sure that the printer is not set for "Draft" mode.
