The screen has two connectors, one for power, another for data, just try to reconnect again those little cables, and it should be fine. When I opened mine the first time, my screen comes up all white, and it was because one of those cables.

I have a video from the last time I open my Nuvi350, I will try to post it on this days, in order to give you some idea on how to do it.

By now, I wish you luck, and be patient.

Garmin 350 is there an internal fuse, I connected it to a 12 volt battery, but I think I crossed the wires, now it won't power on. Thanks

The Nuvi does not run off of +12V!!! It runs off of +5VDC. There is no internal fuse. I'm afraid you have fried your Nuvi,

My garmin nuvi 350 displays "enabling Bluetooth" and will not move . What should I do

A Nuvi 350 does not have bluetooth capability. Do you mean Nuvi 360? If it is a 350, then the firmware is corrupted or was flashed with the wrong firmware.

Garmin nuvi 350 battery replacement

I can't do it for you, but I have done it myself. See the instructions on my webpage at www.dacust.com/nuvi350/index.html. Pictures and everything, along with where I got my battery and the part number, etc. Warning, there are many opportunities to damage your unit doing this. Not for the novice.

Garmins Nuvi 350 - voice interactive lost

I have the same problem with my Nuvi 350. It's only about 2 months old and the sound went. I turned it on the other day to use it and the sound did not sound right, it sounded like the speaker was blown. I turned it off and turned it back on and that was it, the sound was gone. I did everything possible and can't get the sound to come back. I called Garmin and now I have to send it in for repair. I looked around the web and noticed that Garmins have big issues with the sound going on the units. I hope they fix that issue.

Nuvi 350 satellite reception problem

Having taken several Nuvi's apart, the flip up antenna has a 1/4" wide flat flex cable that runs from the flip up antenna assembly to the main board.

The flex cable carries the voltages required to power the antenna assembly and bring the signals back to the main board.

There is actually a printed circuit board in the flip up antenna assembly. It's possible that this is the receiver itself.

The flex cable runs through the round center hinge of the antenna assembly on the right (looking at the Nuvi from the rear) back to the main board.

There is also a magnet involved with the flip up antenna assembly that tells the main board whether the antenna is up or down. If the antenna is down, the Nuvi will NOT look for satellites.

A couple things can happen here that can make your Nuvi not find satellites: Assuming you have tried a hard & soft reset:

1. The antenna flex ribbon cable has become damaged.
2. The antenna flex ribbon cable has become detached from either end (it's held in with just a snap down flap).
3. The magetic switch isn't operating correctly and the main board thinks the antenna is down.
4. The front-end receiver has failed.

If your good at taking things apart (and the Nuvi is a little tricky to take apart), you might be able to verify some of the possibilities I mentioned above.

You might also try looking for a Nuvi for parts on eBay. Maybe you can find one that has a bad LCD screen and salvage the antenna from it.

Good luck!

Garmin nuvi 350; 360

The Nuvi 350 is the same for the most part no matter where you purchase it. The only things that can change on the unit are the pre-loaded maps (Europe if purchased there, US and Canada if purchased here) and the languages. The basic receiver is the same. You do have to be careful where you purchase it as theft is rampant, and purchasing from a retailer who is not authorized by Garmin will result in you not having the factory warranty.
