I recently loaded Windows xp, audio is not working. asking for install sound drivers. my speakers make is JBL. how do i get the drivers installed.

Windows XP is now up to service pack 3. I suggest you do all your Windows updates and and get SP3 and you may get lucky and it will have your drivers built in and it will install them upon a reboot. Best of luck.

I cant get sound from my cpu when I click on the speaker icon It says no audio ouput device installed, operating on windows vista/ intel pentium D processor 820/T5224 desktop PC any suggestions

Hello,

That usually means that the drivers aren't installed properly.

I would suggest that if you know the manufacturer of your machine, go to their support site and download the appropriate driver for your model.

If you don't know the above information, I would suggest using Windows Update to download the driver. You will need to click the Custom optiond to download the hardware drivers.

Here is information on using Windows Update:

XP instructions here. Vista here.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this information.

Thanks

After using recovery disc for windows xp there is no sound

You need to update the sound drivers, Find out what sound card you are using and search the web for the drivers by either typing your motherboard model or your computer model. Use search functions to help you find what you are looking for. I hope this helps. You might want to provide more info on the devices attached to your motherboard. Use device manager for more info.
