I opened my settings option and was fooling around with the passcode option when I set my phone down to answer the door. The last thing I remember my phone saying was "new passcode" so I think it went to a default passcode. What should I do about this?

Plug it into iTunes with it at the unlock screen. Somewhere it should say "Unlock your iPhone" or something like that in iTunes. Click it. Otherwise do a restore by going to the screen where it shows how much memory you have used up in iTunes and click

or:

Download the latest iTunes to your computer and reset the iPhone. Then re-sync it.

Reset

To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond

  1. Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a 10 seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

More resets:

Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

Can not get password to use on iPad or iPhone to work using password

If you are asking about the passcode that locks your iPad or iPhone so others can not access it, following the steps below.
-Start with the iPad screen off.
-Press the HOME button (the small circular button close to the screen)
-Slide to unlock the screen, at the bottom.
-Press the HOME button until you see a box that says SEARCH IPAD (the keyboard will also slide up when you're on the correct screen)
-In the box that says SEARCH IPAD, type SETTINGS
-At the top of the list, created by typing SETTINGS, should be the TOP HIT of SETTINGS.
-Select SETTINGS by tapping with your finger. This will open the SETTINGS app.
-On the left hand side of the two columns, in the SETTINGS app, should be a list of options. Select the GENERAL option from the list by tapping it with your finger.
-On the right hand side of the columns should now be a list of more options starting with ABOUT.
-Continuing looking down past the ABOUT option for the option PASSCODE LOCK.
-Select the PASSCODE LOCK option by tapping it with your finger.
-A new menu, on the right hand side, should now appear starting with the TURN PASSCODE ON option.
-Select the TURN PASSCODE ON option by tapping it with your finger.
-The SET PASSCODE pad should appear in the center of your screen. Enter a four digit passcode of your choice.
-Reenter the passcode you chose again.
-You are done! The next time your iPad times out or you lock the screen, it will require the four digit passcode you set by following the above steps.

My samsung charge won't pair with bluetooth Motorola H730

First thing to do is make sure Bluetooth is on for BOTH devices . Second thing is to make Both devices Visible. Third is to Scan for nearby devices. You will need to know the 'device name' of each phone. When you find the other phone on one device, click on it & it should ask you to 'Pair device'. You should then hear an 'alarm' tone & get a message in a box. (sometimes you need to 'pull-down' this message from the top of the screen, like you do to get the settings or wi-fi status). It will ask you if you want to pair & then give you a 'Pairing code'. This is what you type into the phone. The other phone will then get this & ask if you want to pair. Say yes & the two phones are paired ONE WAY. You need to repeat the process for the phones the other way around, so that the phones are paired in both directions. Remember, every time you get the 'alarm' tone, to check your 'pull-down' to see if the connection code is hidden up there.! Telling it to you is more complicated than actually doing it.!!! Best of luck.

I have a samsung reality. i was fooling around with the settings & set it to NAM2. it's now locked i need a 4 digit code. i've tried all the online suggestions nothing works. i've been up for 4 hours...

Using the default "last four digits" unlock code will not work because switching to NAM2 changes your phone number, and hence changes the default unlock code. You have to find out your new phone number (and new unlock code) under NAM2. Do this:

  • Get to the dialer screen.
  • Dial #43574357* (#helphelp*)
  • Tap "1. system info"
  • The top two entries, MIN and MDN are your new number. Usually they are invalid phone numbers (000-000-????) but the last four digits are your unlock code. Write them down or remember them.
  • Get back to the unlock screen, type in the code.
  • Go directly into the menu and change back to NAM1
  • Don't do that again. :)

Samsung Juke Security

There is no way to put a passcode on only certain things, but you can make it so your phone automatically locks after about two minutes without use or have it so it locks right after it restarts. In order to do either of these you need to go under phone options and then go to security. To get into security you will need to know your passcode, if you havent set one yet it should be the last four digits of your phone number. There will be lock options once you get into security.

How do i reset my phone LG VX8350?

I find it hilarious that a Wiz ("LG expert") and a Guru had no idea that one can simply find the lock code by going through this simple process:
Settings & Tools menu -- option 9 Phone Info -- My Number. Write down the last 4 digits of the phone number -- that's your reset code. Now go back to Settings & Tools, Option 6 Phone Settings, Option 6 Security and enter those last 4 digits. Simple. as. that.
