You want to change the tail light bulb?

The process for replacing tail light bulbs is the same in all models. If you have a burnt-out tail light bulb, you may need to replace the brake light, the reverse light or the turn signal. The procedure to replace each of the bulbs is the same.

    Instructions

    1. Open the Hummer's rear swing gate. This will expose the edge of the vehicle's tail light assembly. You'll see two small Phillips head screws that hold the tail light assembly in place. Put on your gloves.

    2. Remove the two screws from the tail light assembly. Pull the tail light out and inspect the back for two bulbs. The top bulb is the brake light and turn signal. The bottom bulb is the reverse bulb. Determine which bulb you need to replace.

3Rotate the bulb's socket counterclockwise to disconnect it. Unplug the bulb from its socket.

4Push the replacement bulb into its socket firmly. Insert the socket back into the tail light. Turn it clockwise to secure it in place.

5Place the tail light into its cradle. Hold it with one hand and replace the Phillips head screws with the other.

Taillight works when headlights are on, but does not shine brighter when braking or signaling

Change the bulb. When you press the pedal the brake switch changes the circuit to the 21w brighter circuit for the brake light.

No taillights, no dash backlighting, no headlights-on chime; all other lights okay

The taillights are commonly connected to the dash light circuit ( so you can be aware when they do not work ).
Start with the fuse box. Read carefully for the correct fuse to change. Sometimes they have a strange name associated with them. Turn the lights off before you change the fuse otherwise they may blow even if the circuit is OK. If it blows again you need to look further to find a shorted wire. ( Most likely in the boot, near the taillights, a wire has been crushed or damaged.

Chang brakelights on a sebrig

Hello!

  1. Open the trunk by using the driver's side trunk release latch or by manually unlocking it.
  2. Peel back the trunk liner to expose the wiring connector and taillight housing plastic retainers.
  3. Disconnect the wiring connector, loosen the plastic retainers and remove the taillight assembly from the car.
  4. Twist the turn signal bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it from the taillight assembly. Then, pull the malfunctioning bulb straight out of the socket.
  5. Insert the replacement bulb directly into the empty socket and then twist the socket back into the taillight assembly.
  6. Reinstall the tail light assembly.
  7. Activate the turn signal to make sure it's working. If it lights up, fasten the trunk lining back into place and close the trunk

How to change the flasher /tail light on a 2000 buick lesabre

go to the trunk, remove the plastic nut holding the trunk interior skin in place (the nuts are the plastic that the trunk net hangs on), the skin will pull away with a snap after that. Remove three bolts from the back of the taillight, the taillight assembley will slid out from the exterior of the car. Remove the wire assembly from the taillight, replace the bulb and put it back into the taillight. SLide the taillight assembly back in place, but the three bolts back on, snap the trunk skin into place, screw the plastic trunk net bolt back in.
