Question about Kenmore 44832 Front Load Washer
Hot water won't stop filling machine, how do I fix this?
This is probably due to a pressure sensor fault, control board fault, or maybe as simple as a pipe come off.
The pressure sensor operates by air pressure building up in a sealed tube, and shuts off the water supply valve when the water presure reaches a limit.
Turn off machine, and drain the drum by placing the outlet pipe in a low bowl.
Remove the plug before opening machine.
Unscrew the screws along the top rear of the machine, and slide the lid back to take off.
Inspect the small hoses around the drawer area for wear, damage and if they are still attached. Order replacements if they are damaged.
The pressure switch will be connected to the end of one of them. It can be tested by simply removing it’s supply pipe and blowing hard down it. With a test meter, it can be tested for correct functioning.
If this is not the problem, it is likely the control board is faulty, or very rarely the valve may need replacing if it never turns the water off, and is constantly stuck.
If this leads to you solving the problem, please take a moment to rate as Fixya! so others may follow this advice. Thanks.
