If ur ps3 console wont start up....then the things to check are>>> 1.check ur power cable 2.check whether u have inserted the disc properly and precisely. 3.check the insertion of memory card... 4.check the video port.......

U check with all the connectio if all is perfect means its due to overheating problem..try swithing on in the safe mode and still its not working means u can try this site to solve the problem...

take out ur harddrive, turn ps3 on wit no hardrive den put it back in and turn on again,
if this dosent work hold power button and eject button on front of ps3, 1st u will hear 1 beep then 2beeps ,wen u hear 2 leave go,
it will say connect controller with usb, do that and u will get 6 options,
pick option 3,but if that dosnt work pick option 6 ,but option 6 will delete all ur saved data so be warned.

No signal. It keeps saying invalid format. I have tried changing the tv format to 1080i, 480p from the cable box and still won't get the right format.

1 - Turn on TV and set input to port being used.
2 - Make sure PS3 is connected via correct cable.
3 - Power on PS3 via power button and HOLD IT for 5 seconds (release after the second beep). It should automatically configure your PS3 to the TV's native resolution for all settings.

Hdmi won't work with ps3
While the PS3 is off, press and hold the power button until it beeps a couple times, that should reset the video settings and allow you to select HDMI as the output.

Yes the display settings need to be reset since he had HDTV and you don't. I do this by simply having the PS off then press power button and hold it for 5 seconds.

Ps3 wont conect to the internet
Just unplug the power cord from your modem for 30 seconds then plug it back in. It should reset everything. You may need to configure your router, click on the link below to learn how to do this
