Question about Televison & Video
It does sound like it could be the inverter, but its very rare in Toshiba sets compared to other brands.
Can you see a very faint picture?
The inverter supplies voltages to the back light which is a bit like a flourescent tube behind the screen that makes to screen light up.
Here is somewhere you can buy the inverter but it might be better to take it to a qualified technician as there are dangerous voltages inside TV's. Note that from a technician the part is likely to cost more than this supplier as this is where the techs get them from and they have to put thier margin on it to make a living and cover thier costs.
